Wendy has many years experience working as a professional storyteller
and public folklorist in the
In Scotland she created and directed the non-profit organisation
Storytelling Unplugged; in England she worked with marginalised groups for the
Blackburn Library Service and after two years as Director of the Florida Folk
Festival she is now directing folklife activities in SW Virginia, is on the
board of the National Storytelling Network and teaching Anthropology courses at
UVA.
Wendy holds a BA in Journalism and German, a MEd in Storytelling and a
PhD in Folklore from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
